Today is 7 – 11 Day and that means FREE Slurpees for Everyone

Photo Skitch Document
Today is July 11. That’s 7-11 (in the American way of listing a date, using the month first rather than the day).

7-Eleven (the business) uses this day to celebrate themselves. It’s 7-11 day!

In honor of the day, the company is giving out free 12 oz slurpees. This has become an annual tradition (and a bigger slurpee than last year).

As the news of “free” shoots around on all the social media today, 7-Eleven expects to give away roughly 7 million Slurpees on Thursday, July 11, 2013.

OK. It’s not healthy. But it’s cold … and it’s been so hot and humid around here, lately, that a cold icy slurpee, correction: a FREE cold icy slurpee, sounds awfully good.

  1. I had never heard of this. Just another example of how out of it I am.
I would be rushing right down there except for the unhealthy part and the fact that there is no 7-11 around. 😦

I'd love to hear what you think!
