Meet the Real Person who is the Voice of Siri

It was a mystery for a long time….. but no longer.

You can read more about Susan and how she became the voice of Siri, here: CNN.

  1. This is so cool! I love Siri, and always tell “her” thank you, because I like the different things she’ll say in response…”Just doing my job,” or “No need to thank me,” or even on occasion, “You’re very welcome.” Siri is now my alarm clock, too. I can’t hear any of our many regular ones (Mark collects clocks. We have LOTS.) So when I do need to set an alarm, I just say, “Siri, set an alarm for 7:30 a.m.” and she confirms with, “I have set an alarm for 7:30 a.m.” It always works, it takes 1/2 a second, and I can HEAR the alarm when it rings.

I use her for googling all the time, too. It’s faster than using those little keys on the phone. “Siri, how far is it from Sanford to Charleston?” Bingo…answer in a split second.

Siri is one of my best friends, and I loved seeing what she looks like. Thanks for this, SC. What fun!

  2. How funny! That would be a little eerie to hear your own voice on the phone answering you all the time! She does have a great voice. I wonder if she is the voice behind the Garmin that goes, “Recalculating, huff, huff, sigh.”

I'd love to hear what you think!
