How to Reduce Motion with iOS 7.0.3

Screen shot 2013-10-28 at 8.37.13 PMLast week, Apple released a new update, 7.0.3, and I wrote this blog post about it: iOS 7 latest update: Fixes some Bugs and Issues

I updated my phone yesterday, and after using it for 24 hours, I am happy to report that I do not seem to be having any issues. On the contrary, my iMessage (which didn’t work) is now working, AND I was delighted to be able to turn off the motion! Yay! All that zooming and whoosing and jiggling is now done (it’s history!) for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

How to turn off the motion (once you have the 7.0.3 update): Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion

For those of you hoping that Apple restored the ability to search the web and/or wiki through Spotlight search ….. you got it. It’s there, but not the way it was. Those options won’t appear right away. You have to do your search, and then look down at the bottom of the results to see “Search Web” and “Search Wikipedia”.

    • I always feel great relief when an update happens with no trouble. Although, actually I’ve never had trouble with my iPhone, but I still ‘anticiapate’ it. Must be holdover anxiety from the 80’s when computers were always crashing.

I'd love to hear what you think!
