How to Bring Back the Bold (fonts) in iOS 7

Screen shot 2013-09-17 at 7.18.02 PMI have just not been able to get used to the skinny font of iOS 7.

It’s thin and …. well… pale. It’s simply not friendly to my aging eyes.

Some people love it. Some people hate it.

Me? I just can’t see it. 😯

So I was delighted to learn that I can “bring back the bold” and I wasted no time doing just that.

How to bring back bold fonts in iOS 7:

Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Bold Text

Tap on “Bold Text” to turn it on.

Attachment-1-2

Once you switch it to “on”, you will be told that the iPhone has to restart.

Tap on “Continue” and leave your phone alone for a minute or so while it re-starts.

Attachment-1-3

Once your phone restarts, you will have bold fonts!

Very nice, especially as labels under apps and for text messages.
