Weekend Distraction: Word Collapse

Screen Shot 2014-01-31 at 6.24.12 PMWord games are always fun, and this one is no exception.

It is easy to play ….. just an itsy bitsy tiny learning curve. You’ll start playing immediately.

Simple premise. Letters will fall onto your screen. Your job is to find words within a given category,  such as “fruit” or “animals”.

When you find a word that exists within your assigned theme, just swipe it. You might find words positioned either horizontally or vertically. The word you swipe disappears, and the letters on the screen collapse to form new words.

Now it gets a little tricky. You must CLEAR the screen. So, as you find the words, you must remove them  in the proper order, otherwise there will be letters left over.

If you get stuck, you can shake your device to start again.

Word Collapse is free and you are given 70 levels to play. (There are in-app purchases available, (more levels and hints) but you will be busy for a long time with all the puzzles they provide for you for free.)

The only thing that is mildly annoying are the ads that pop up. But, hey …. the game is free. I can tolerate a few ads that close out simply with a tap.

Word Collapse (for your iPhone and iPad) is FREE in the iTunes store.
