A Quick Post about Quick Reply in iOS8

If a text appears at the top of your device while you are involved with something else, you no longer have to leave whatever-you-are-doing to head over to messages to answer it.

When the text comes in, just pull it down.

You’ll have the opportunity to reply right then and there, and then go back to doing whatever it was that you were doing.

  1. So iOS8 is a good thing???? I haven’t upgraded/installed it yet. Kinda dragging my feet so maybe the ‘bugs’ (if there are any) will not come along!

    • wwwwwwwwell……. It is loaded with lots of “new” stuff. I’m still wading through it all and I keep being surprised. Each time I find something new I learn several OTHER things, too. There’s a lot to learn. BUT … is it necessary? needed? “good”? I think that all depends…… When it first came out, there was a few bad bugs and people LOST a lot of functionality. But they fixed that quickly with an update. And iOS8 needs a lot of space on the device to install. I have it on my new phone because it came that way. If I still had my 5 I’d probably be dragging my feet. In my mind, there is nothing wrong with waiting and letting the bugs all get worked out. I think you’re a smart, cautious cookie! 🙂

  2. I finally upgraded 2 days ago and mostly I like it. However my Safari froze yesterday and I had to reboot, so maybe it needs time to settle in or something. I upgraded iPhone 5 and iPad and only the iPad froze so far.

Thanks for all your tips. I hope to be an expert like you someday😃

    • Yes, upgrades are always scary and iffy. I get nervous every time and hold my breath during most of the process. My notebook computer should be updated, now, but I won’t do it until….. well, certainly not soon. And please please please ……. I’m NO expert. I’m just trying to hold my head above water and keep (reasonably) up with these new devices like everyone else. 🙂

I'd love to hear what you think!
